Girard Perregaux Watches: History of the Organization

What’s special in Girard-Perregaux timepieces? Their developers unite classical concepts with contemporary technologies, old traditions with novelties. The ways of the company remain the same to mark its stability and reliability in no dependence of how much time has passed.
Jean Francois Bautte, a Swiss watchmaker was the first to produce these watches, so the brand was opened by him. The name Girard Perregaux came in use later in 1856 as the organization went to another timepiece-maker Girard and his wife Marie Perregaux.
As the firm appeared in the watch market, it brought out its unique idea to manufacture watches with a very flat case. The idea led to the formation of numerous brand traditions. In 1880 Girard Perregaux got an idea to make wristwatches in series, which happened to be quite a special idea in the era of pocket watches.
Gyromatic became the first innovative model of the watchmaker. The swiss replica watch included the mechanism with big frequency. In some time there appeared the first quartz mechanism with frequency of about 32,768 Hertz, which later turned to be the standard followed all over the world. the watchmaker attempted incorporating electronics into classical watches as it was made in his “Equation Espace Perpetuelle” watches model. That appeared to be quite unusual for that time.
